Some of my baking journey :p

Mocha brownies cupcakes

Butter-y sugar cookies with chocolate chips and some dipped with dark chocolate

Peanut butter cookies

Apparently they were soft & yummy – I wouldn’t know since I’m allergic to peanut D: But I made them cuz my love loves them xD

Blondie, with the sauce thingy and ice cream (tastes just like the Applebee’s Blondie!)

Tiramisu cupcakes

They were heavenly, thin layer of lady finger bottom, and a whole lotta cold (self-made)creamy (and coffee-y) goodness! Best for a hot day! It was so well recieved by everyone that I ended up making cups of this, with many layers, instead of in cupcake forms.

Oreo cheesecake chocolate chip cookies

Omg, they were just DELICIOUS! So soft, and chewy, and just.. yumm.

Vanilla cupcakes with self-made Buttercream frosting and marshmallows – The plain ones have a cherry filling

Valentines box made for my love, vanilla butter cream cupcakes, peanut butter cookies, brownies and brownie stuffed cones topped with butter cream icing

Big cheesecake & mini cheesecakes – yummyness right there

Cheesecake with chocolate chip & the others with marshmallows

It was supposed to be bars, but I forgot about the crust while it was in the oven (I was chasing after Alec who was creating trouble -.-) and it burnt! So i put them in cupcake papers; on the bottom is a layer of cookie dough with chocolate chip, and topped with cheesecake, the ones that don’t have chocolate chips on them, have marshmallow in them

Crumbly vanilla cookies, with self-made chocolate frosting (Delicious!)

Apple pie with vanilla ice-cream

Watermelon and heart shaped sugar cookies

Whoopie pies

Red Velvet cupcakes with (self-made) cream cheese frosting

Energy snacks for my love

Quick Tiramisu, coffee ice cream, vanilla ice cream, lady fingers soaked in coffee and topped with whipped cream and grated chocolate

Jelly bean cookies

Made today for my love!

And Alec here, awaiting the food to be given to him xD

Useful tips to make life easier :D

1. Use a can opener to open sealed plastic packaging.

2. Amplify the volume of your IPhone or IPod by placing it in a bowl.

3. Use a banana to fix a CD.

4. Eat marshmallows to soothe a sore throat.

5. Use newspaper as an odor absorber.

6. Use aspirin to turn hair made green by chlorine back to its natural color [Dissolve six to eight aspirin pills in a glass of warm water, coat hair with the solution, let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse.]

7. Use a rubber band for perfect french tips.

8. Hang pictures using a pop tab.

9. Use mayonnaise to remove water stains from wooden furniture.

10. Use a cereal container as a trash disposal in your car.

11. Add a few drops of Vodka and a teaspoon of sugar to make cut flowers last longer.

12. Use hand sanitizer to dissolve ink stains.

13. Use raw spaghetti straws to lit hard to reach wicks.

14. Use Earl Grey tea bags to get rid of a sun burn.

15. Use mustard to suck pain from a burn.

16. Use scotch tape or nail polish to relieve an insect bite.

17. Throw baking powder on a burgeoning grease fire.

18. Heat up leftover pizza in a nonstick skillet on top of the stove; set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No soggy micro pizza.

19. When you buy a container of cake frosting from the store, whip it with your mixer for a few minutes. You can double it in size. You get to frost more cake/cupcakes with the same amount. You also eat less sugar and calories per serving.

20. To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins that were refrigerated, place them in a microwave with a cup of water. The increased moisture will keep the food moist and help it reheat faster.

21. Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It’s a lot cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It’s also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn’t like when you tried it in your hair.

22. Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it “home,” can’t digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works & you don’t have to worry about pets or small children being harmed!

23. Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream drips.

24. If you accidentally over-salt a dish while it’s still cooking, drop in a peeled potato – it absorbs the excess salt for an instant “fix me up”.

Tarot cards

What are Tarot Cards?

“The tarot (play /ˈtær/; first known as trionfi and later as tarocchi, tarock, and others) is a pack of playing cards (most commonly numbering 78), used from the mid-15th century in various parts of Europe to play a group of card games such as Italian tarocchini and French tarot. From the late 18th century until the present time the tarot has also found use by mystics and occultists in efforts at divination or as a map of mental and spiritual pathways.”  Wikipedia

Do I believe in them? Yeah, I do actually! I’m pretty open-minded in life (and afterlife), and the cards so far never steered me wrong! I love the deck I own, beautifully designed.

I remember a funny time when I brought the cards to highschool, we had this really insane teacher, who seemed to have bi polar, and she made life a living Hell for us (mostly girls, she flirted a lot with the guys), whenever we would ask the cards about her, we pulled out the Devil card, and whenever we just mentioned her, the Devil card appeared. This happened literally every single time we talked about her! We even tested it out to make sure it wasn’t a fluke; we shuffled the cards, split it into 3 stacks, and pulled a card out of one of the stacks – and yes, we pulled the Devil card.

Another time, is a few years ago when I asked where I’d meet the love of my life, and what type of person he’d be. The cards described that I’d meet him in a place of education, he’d be responsible, well with financial stuff, and that he’d be a business oriented guy, and that he’d be the love of my life, and that I’d be secure, and that there’ll be many obstacles and hardships but we’d end up overcoming them   – basically, the cards spoke of a guy I’d never be interested in, and someone that I never saw myself come across, or hang out in the same social circles.

Well, damn, I met him 2 years after that. A business major – Accounting and Finance Major to be exact, he’s very responsible, and he’s the love of my life, and yes I’m feeling very secure, and yes there had been many struggles and obstacles that we have overcome.

So yeah, so far the tarot cards haven’t let me down, and these 2 experiences are just a few of many, they have even helped out friends of mine.

But hey, that’s just my opinion.

Cheap VS Expensive – Ugly things can be sold, when it comes from a Brand name

…It’s true right? It’s a psychological thing, it can be ugly as fuck, yet people buy it because it’s of a certain brand name.

Would you rather buy the original expensive brand product, or a fake that looks just as good, gives exactly the same effect as the original but at a cheaper price, or just simply buy something that’s cheap and looks better than any expensive product?

I’d buy the knock-off or cheaper whatever it is, I mean, it’s gonna get out of style eventually, right? This way one could buy other things.

In my opinion, I think it’s a waste of money to buy clothes or bags or whatever at such an expensive price, only to eventually dirty it, or tear it, or when it goes out of style. I could save my money for something that’s actually important, instead of wasting it on temporary materialistic things.

I see some people only buying jeans that are like 50KD or over just because it’s of a certain brand name… and then they end up tearing it a couple of months later. I have jeans that look exactly the same, and can find even better ones for like 8KD!  And they even last longer.

I just feel like it’s such a fail of judgment, when people buy things just because it’s an expensive brand name, even when the thing they buy is ugly as hell – not even the ‘good’ stuff of the brand name *face palm*

It’s just dumb. Really dumb.

Sort out your priorities, people, do something useful with your excess money or at least use it on things that won’t be a temporary thing such as clothes, bags, sunglasses, etc.

Examples of Cheap clothes, looking way better than the Expensive clothes:

Random moment:

Me & my friends looking for a present for my love, we spot a leather jacket at a Gucci store (it said 70% sale so we decided to check it out xD)

Me & Nadeen spot a leather jacket

Me: Ooh, I wonder how much it is

Nadeen: *checks price* *grabs my arm and pulls me away* Let’s walk away with pride…

It was almost 1000KD

We found a cheaper one that looked better for 20 KD.
