Various Avocado Mask Recipes

Reason why I’m gathering these masks together here is mostly to have the most useful recipes on hand, and at the same time spread them with whoever comes across my blog  (n_n)b

1) Avocado Oatmeal Face Mask

This is one of the best Avocado face masks for people with dry skin it’s super moisturizing and help to restore damaged skin.

  • ½ Ripe avocado
  • ½ Cup of oatmeal

Cook the oatmeal as instructed on the package and mash up the avocado meat with a fork. Mix the two ingredients together and apply the paste to your skin. After 10 – 15 minutes wash it off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry.

2) Avocado Honey Face Mask

It really works to give your skin a beautiful glow.

  • 1 Ripe avocado
  • 1 Tablespoon of honey

Mash up the avocado with a fork and stir in the honey until it turns into a paste. Once done apply it to your skin and leave it on for 15- 20 minutes. When you’re done, wash off the mixture with lukewarm water and pat your face dry with a soft towel.

3) Avocado Yogurt Face Mask

This avocado face mask is also a great one for people who need to pump up the moisture in their skin and is one of my favorites for the cold winter months.

  • ¼ Ripe avocado
  • 1 Teaspoon of plain organic yogurt
  • ½ Teaspoon of honey

Using a fork mash the avocado until it’s soft and then mix in the honey and yogurt to make a paste. Apply it to your skin for 10 – 15 minutes and remove it by washing your skin with lukewarm water.

4) Avocado Egg Face Mask

A recipe that makes for a great avocado face mask for acne because it reduces the oil found on the face.

  • ½ Ripe avocado
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1 Tablespoon of fresh lemon juice

Mash up the avocado with a fork and fold in the egg white and lemon juice. Apply it to your face for 10 to 15 minutes being careful to not get it into your eyes. When finished wash your skin with lukewarm water and pat it dry.

So what’s the deal with honey? It’s not only there for your sweet tooth but also helps with keeping your face looking good! ;p

It’s one of the best natural ingredients and can help with skin problems such as:

Face Masks Recipes for Dry Skin

Gathered some recipes to help with dry skin 🙂

1. Need: Banana, Honey, Yogurt, Oil

Whisk a large banana, two tablespoons of organic honey, two tablespoons of white yogurt and a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil.

Leave for 20 minutes.

2. Need: Flour, Egg, Milk, Honey

Mix two tablespoons of flour, one egg yolk , three tablespoons of whole milk and a tablespoon of honey until the mixture is smooth.

Let it set for 20 minutes.


3. Need: Banana, Oat, Honey, Flour

Mash a banana and add two spoons of honey and one tablespoon of flour, oats, mix the ingredients until the mixture is smooth.

Leave it on for five minutes.

4. Need: Avocado, Yogurt

Avocado, which contains vitamin E, as well as other natural oils, is a great moisturizer for dry skin.

Place a ripe avocado, peeled and seeded, in a blender or food processor with four tablespoons of plain yogurt. Blend until smooth. Apply the mixture to your face, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for ten to fifteen minutes, and then rinse your face with warm water.

5. Need: Banana, Yogurt

The yogurt will not only hydrate and soften your dry skin, it will also exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin cells.

Peel one banana. Place half of it in a bowl. (You can eat the other half.) Mash the banana with a fork. Add four tablespoons of plain yogurt to the banana, and stir the mixture until smooth. Apply to your face and leave on for ten to fifteen, then rinse off with warm water.

6. Need: Honey, Egg

While honey is a natural astringent, it will also moisturize your dry skin.

Separate the yolk from one egg. (You can use the rest for a light, egg white omelet.) Mix the egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of honey, and stir the mixture until smooth. Leave on for ten to fifteen minutes, then rinse off with warm water.

7. Need: Honey, Milk

For a quick-fix facial mask for your dry skin, mix two tablespoons of honey with two teaspoons of milk. Apply the sticky mixture to your face, and leave on for ten to fifteen minutes. Then rinse off with warm water.

You don’t have to spend lots of money on expensive, commercial facial masks. You can find everything you need to create a homemade facial mask for your dry skin right in your kitchen.

8. Avocado, Extra Virgin Olive Oil

It is easy to make: mash the flesh of avocado with a fork, add a touch of extra-virgin olive oil, and apply this smooth, fragrant mixture onto your face.

10 Useful Homemade Scrubs

1. Lemon-Honey Face Scrub

To remove dead skin, retain and provide moisturizing benefits, and brighten your complexion

  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of sugar

Blend ingredients in a bowl, apply to face, and rinse with warm water

2. Salt, Lemon, and Sugar Scrub

To exfoliate and brighten your complexion

  • 2 tablespoons of salt
  • Juice from half of a lemon
  • Add sugar until the mixture is solid but not dry

Blend the ingredients in a bowl and gently massage the mask into skin. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes, and then rinse with water

3. Avocado and Oatmeal Scrub for Oily Skin

To provide moisture, soften and  keep skin looking healthy

  • 2 teaspoons of finely ground oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon of avocado
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

Blend ingredients in a bowl forming a thick paste. Massage the mask onto damp face in a circular motion, and then rinse with warm water

4. Baking Soda Blackhead Scrub

To eliminate blackheads

  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons water

Blend the ingredients in a bowl. Massage the mixture onto damp skin, and rinse with warm water

5. Banana and Sugar Face Scrub

To exfoliate and nourish your skin

  • 1 ripe, peeled banana
  • ¼ cup of granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup of dark brown sugar

Mash the banana in a bowl, add the other ingredients blending them into a paste.  Massage the paste onto your face, leave on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with warm water

6. Egg Yolk, Honey, and Olive Oil Mask

This combination is perfect for dry skin types

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon of warm honey
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

Blend the ingredients in a bowl. Massage the mixture onto your skin, leave on for 15 minutes, and rinse with warm water

7. Cucumber and Yogurt Face Mask

This is the perfect mask to revive your skin

  • ½ cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon of yogurt

Blend the ingredients in a blender, massage mixture onto skin, leave on for 15 minutes and rinse with cool water

8. Orange Juice and Honey Mask

For a healthy glow

  • 3 tablespoons of orange juice (no pulp)
  • ½ cup of warm honey

Blend the ingredients in a bowl, massage the mixture onto skin, leave on for 30 minutes, and rinse with warm water followed by cold water.

9. Papaya and Honey Mask

For those who have uneven pigment or sunspots

  • ½ cup of ripe, mashed papaya
  • 2 tablespoons of honey

Blend the ingredients in a bowl, massage the mixture onto skin, leave on for 15-20 minutes, and rinse with warm water

10. Vitamin C Mask

The perfect anti-aging mask

  • ½ fresh, peeled, and mashed kiwi fruit
  • 2 tablespoons of raw honey
  • 2 drops of orange essential oil

Blend the ingredients in a blender, massage the mixture onto skin, leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse with warm water
