Various Avocado Mask Recipes

Reason why I’m gathering these masks together here is mostly to have the most useful recipes on hand, and at the same time spread them with whoever comes across my blog  (n_n)b

“Avocado face masks are one of the best and most nutritious masks that you can use on your skin. The fruit is packed with vitamins and unsaturated fats that work wonders on people who have acne as well as sensitive or dry skin. They also help to slow down the aging process making them highly versatile and desirable. Here are some avocado face mask recipes that are effective, inexpensive and so easy to make that you’re sure to love them.” –

1) Avocado Oatmeal Face Mask

This is one of the best Avocado face masks for people with dry skin it’s super moisturizing and help to restore damaged skin.

  • ½ Ripe avocado
  • ½ Cup of oatmeal

Cook the oatmeal as instructed on the package and mash up the avocado meat with a fork. Mix the two ingredients together and apply the paste to your skin. After 10 – 15 minutes wash it off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry.

2) Avocado Honey Face Mask

It really works to give your skin a beautiful glow.

  • 1 Ripe avocado
  • 1 Tablespoon of honey

Mash up the avocado with a fork and stir in the honey until it turns into a paste. Once done apply it to your skin and leave it on for 15- 20 minutes. When you’re done, wash off the mixture with lukewarm water and pat your face dry with a soft towel.

3) Avocado Yogurt Face Mask

This avocado face mask is also a great one for people who need to pump up the moisture in their skin and is one of my favorites for the cold winter months.

  • ¼ Ripe avocado
  • 1 Teaspoon of plain organic yogurt
  • ½ Teaspoon of honey

Using a fork mash the avocado until it’s soft and then mix in the honey and yogurt to make a paste. Apply it to your skin for 10 – 15 minutes and remove it by washing your skin with lukewarm water.

4) Avocado Egg Face Mask

A recipe that makes for a great avocado face mask for acne because it reduces the oil found on the face.

  • ½ Ripe avocado
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1 Tablespoon of fresh lemon juice

Mash up the avocado with a fork and fold in the egg white and lemon juice. Apply it to your face for 10 to 15 minutes being careful to not get it into your eyes. When finished wash your skin with lukewarm water and pat it dry.

Homemade Mod Podge Recipes

Basics 10

Found this useful recipe to make your own Mod Podge!

Simple Solution

8 ounces of washable white glue
1 15+ ounce clean and dry container with lid
4 ounces of water (half as much water as glue)

Simply empty the glue into the container, add the water, put the lid on, and shake well.
To make it gloss add 2 tablespoons of water based varnish or to make it sparkle add super fine glitter.

Another Great Recipe

1 1/2 cups Flour
1/4 of a cup of granulated sugar
1/4 tsp olive oil
1 cup water

Sauce Pan
A spoon
An airtight container (Mason jar works great)

Turn your stove on low heat, add the water, oil, flour, and sugar to the saucepan (You can add more or less water and/or flour to get the consistency you desire, and you can add more oil for a glossier varnish). Heat the mixture over low to medium heat and stir. Do not let it boil. Empty contents into mason jar and let cool to room temperature. Shake before using. If your homemade mixture doesn’t hold well, use less water in your next batch, and if you are concerned about the possibility that your mixture might yellow over time, try using acid free glue.

The Yummiest Pasta

… well, in my opinion at least xD

What you’ll need is:

  1. Your favorite pizza/marinara sauce
  2. This Low Fat Alfredo recipe
  3. Your favorite pasta (I use wheat :D)
  4. Salt
  5. Mozzarella (low fat) [OPTIONAL]

Get your pasta done, then start with the alfredo sauce. Once the alfredo sauce is done mix in as much pizza sauce as you want, add salt to taste, and then mix in the pasta. Once you have the mixed sauce and pasta mixed together add the mozzarella cheese (if you want) do this while keeping it over the stove (duh, or else the mozzarella won’t melt xD)

And your done! Enjoy! You won’t regret it xD
