Various Avocado Mask Recipes

Reason why I’m gathering these masks together here is mostly to have the most useful recipes on hand, and at the same time spread them with whoever comes across my blog  (n_n)b

“Avocado face masks are one of the best and most nutritious masks that you can use on your skin. The fruit is packed with vitamins and unsaturated fats that work wonders on people who have acne as well as sensitive or dry skin. They also help to slow down the aging process making them highly versatile and desirable. Here are some avocado face mask recipes that are effective, inexpensive and so easy to make that you’re sure to love them.” –

1) Avocado Oatmeal Face Mask

This is one of the best Avocado face masks for people with dry skin it’s super moisturizing and help to restore damaged skin.

  • ½ Ripe avocado
  • ½ Cup of oatmeal

Cook the oatmeal as instructed on the package and mash up the avocado meat with a fork. Mix the two ingredients together and apply the paste to your skin. After 10 – 15 minutes wash it off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry.

2) Avocado Honey Face Mask

It really works to give your skin a beautiful glow.

  • 1 Ripe avocado
  • 1 Tablespoon of honey

Mash up the avocado with a fork and stir in the honey until it turns into a paste. Once done apply it to your skin and leave it on for 15- 20 minutes. When you’re done, wash off the mixture with lukewarm water and pat your face dry with a soft towel.

3) Avocado Yogurt Face Mask

This avocado face mask is also a great one for people who need to pump up the moisture in their skin and is one of my favorites for the cold winter months.

  • ¼ Ripe avocado
  • 1 Teaspoon of plain organic yogurt
  • ½ Teaspoon of honey

Using a fork mash the avocado until it’s soft and then mix in the honey and yogurt to make a paste. Apply it to your skin for 10 – 15 minutes and remove it by washing your skin with lukewarm water.

4) Avocado Egg Face Mask

A recipe that makes for a great avocado face mask for acne because it reduces the oil found on the face.

  • ½ Ripe avocado
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1 Tablespoon of fresh lemon juice

Mash up the avocado with a fork and fold in the egg white and lemon juice. Apply it to your face for 10 to 15 minutes being careful to not get it into your eyes. When finished wash your skin with lukewarm water and pat it dry.

Unwanted facial hair BE GONE – No waxing needed!

Isn’t that great news? A completely unwanted-hairless face through no pain! I’m gonna try it out soon 😛

Facial Hair Scrub:

  • 1 tsp ground coffee
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • And a little bit of water to make this into a paste

Very gently exfoliate your skin with it and keep it on for 5-10 mins and then rinse off. Do this once a week

Facial Hair Mask

After exfoliating, use this mask, you’ll need:

  • Gram flour (Besan)
  • Curd
  • Pinch of Turmeric

Use enough Gram flour and Curd to make it a paste, ok? But keep the turmeric to a pinch only, or else your face might turn orange (or so I’ve heard xD)

Now keep this paste on for 20 mins and then rinse it off with cold water. Not only does this get rid of unwanted hair but also lightens up your face.

This Time Period + Arranged Marriage = Forever Alone (or Forever Depressed)

Ok, so I have to say I’m fuckin’ tired of hearing my friend wanting to get married, yet she says that it’s a taboo to talk to guys on a personal level.

Are you fucking kidding me??

Ok, let me dissect her narrow views in social relationships. I understand she’s an extremely religious person and would die before having a boyfriend/girlfriend type of relationship, however, she NEEDS to be able to talk to guys and deciding for herself whether they’d be husband material or not, and the first damn step to that is actually becoming friends with guys, since that’s the best way to get to know someone.

She keeps having old men or creepy unstable guys asking for her hand in marriage, and then she complains.

Ummm… duh. Arranged marriage these days are a sign of desperation and being unable to find someone, it’s kind of like going on a dating website – except in dating websites you are able to get to know the person way more before deciding to freakin’ marry them.

Also, what sane young guy would want to do arranged marriages???

1.Most of them already have girlfriends they plan on being with and don’t need mommy to hook them up with a bride who sits at home waiting to be called by the ‘perfect’ guy.

2. They end up falling for their friend who goes to university with them, or works at their job place, and then the guy ends up calling her family to ask to marry her

Notice that both include communication and friendship between both guy and girl???

If you don’t notice, good luck staying unmarried at your family’s house for the rest of your life, maybe start up a knitting business or something.

If you plan on sitting around to have someone amazing call and ask for your hand in marriage, while you don’t even talk to guys, or befriend them or even show what an awesome person you are – who the fuck are you expecting to call?? Your imaginary friend from kindergarten or something???

Seriously, grow up and open your brain (if you are close-minded) the world didn’t end 50 years ago, you know.

Grand Cinemas

So last weekend I went with my love to Grand Cinemas, and we went to watch Skyfall in the VIP section; I didn’t want him to get seats in the VIP section because, well, 10KD per ticket! In my eyes, that’s too much for a bit over an hour worth of movie that’s for sure censored.

So let’s see, the popcorn.. 😦 There was salt and I think butter, but no caramel 😦 I’m not really much of a sweet tooth, but cinema without caramel popcorn just ain’t right! Anyway, we went to the VIP lobby section, ordered our snacks (well my love did, I was still full from the dinner and dessert we just had :P) so then we headed to the cinema itself, the snacks they would bring to us once we were seated.

During the movie, they brought us little free snacks and drinks in champagne glasses (no no not alcohol duh :P) and the seats… oh lord, the seats! They were awesome! Soft, reclining chairs for us to be able to lay down while watching the movie! The only complaint I have about the seating is that it’s too far spaced from the person I came with 😦 The seats were all in rows of 2, and there was such a wide table separating my guy and I, so that really sucked for us. I mean, I wanna at least be able to hold his hand >_>

Now, about the censorship, the only thing censored was the sex act itself, everything else, including the “foreplay” that leads to the sex was uncut – Good!!!! I mean, there’s nothing we can really do about the complete censoring issue, but at least here not unnecessary stuff was cut. Now, I’m not sure if this is only the case because we went to VIP, maybe the regular side has more things cut? I’m not sure, and I’ll have to find out sometime soon.

So yeah, only complaint was being too far from my dude, and the lack of caramel popcorn 😮

High School Days

In the past few weeks things have changed a lot in my personal life, for the better! Friends that I thought were close friends that I could rely on tossed their friendship with me in exchange of underage, attention-seeking girls. It might sound like I’m being spiteful, but there’s really no other way to describe them 😛 It’s weird, because now they are being called by everyone the “whore group” , the “group that drinks and does drugs”, “the losers”… God! I really did do the right thing by stopping to try and give those new girls a chance. It’s like God’s trying to give me a sign of some sort sign, because just a few days before I stopped talking to them, my high school friends reached out and we all started reconnecting again.

So now things feel… Lighter? Yeah, I guess that’s the best way to describe how I’m feeling. It’s funny, I guess it’s true, the friends you make in high school are the ones that end up lasting. No matter how long my friends and I have not talked, or whether we got into a fight, it’s like no matter what we know we can’t get rid of each other 😛 We have a lot of hilarious memories, and those are the only memories that I have with all the “friends” I have that make me burst out laughing – like last week during drama class, we were all in our group chat talking and reliving some stupidly hilarious memories we had, and I had to try so hard that it hurt to stop from bursting into laughter xD

That feeling, I’ve missed it for the past years, and I’m glad I got rid of the people that I felt were weighing me down negatively; I seriously don’t know how I managed to have gone through the past years without the lightness I’m feeling right now!
